Universe conspired for S'porean man to fall sick so he'd spot temple's missing cat in canal prompting nun rescue

Why things happen.

A Singaporean man fell sick on Friday, April 20, 2018, so that he would inadvertently bring about the rescue of a cat, according to The Universe.

This amazing turn of events is exactly what happened, but not interpreted as such by the very Singaporean man who spotted the cat that required rescuing.

The incident occurred at the canal beside Pao Kwan Foh Tang at Shunfu in the Sin Ming area.

What happened

According to the man's Facebook post:

• He went to see the doctor as he was ill but the clinic wasn't open.

• He walked to the canal and spotted a black and white cat with a red collar inside.

• He realised that the cat was stuck inside as the walls of the canal were simply too high.

• He bought raw fish and threw it at the cat but it did not eat any.

• Woman in temple spotted him behaving strangely.

• He told her he spotted a cat in the canal.

• Turns out it belongs to the temple and had been missing for a few days.

• Nuns came out with a ladder but it was not tall enough to reach the base of the canal.

• Man tied ladder to the railing so it doesn't slip into the canal.

• Nun lowers herself into canal but slipped and muddied herself when she reached the bottom of the canal.

• Nun held cat and climbed back up ladder.

• Man helped retrieve ladder and passed it back to the temple.

In other words, none of these would have happened if the man did not fall ill in the first place?

Lessons learnt

There are a few lessons that can be learnt from this.

The first of which is: Try not to let a nun go into a canal, if anyone can help it.

Two: The only reason the cat got saved was because the man acted on it.

And three: No life is too small.

The universe didn't conspire anything and any inaction might have cost the cat's life. It was a good thing the sick man happened to be at the right place at the right time.
