Afraid someone might steal her valuables, Chinese woman climbs into X-ray machine at train station

Simply bizarre.

A woman train passenger in China was so afraid that someone might take her handbag containing her valuables while it's inside the X-ray scanner at the train station, that she decided to climb in after it.

Security footage shows the woman calmly climbing out of the machine as one guard can't help but laugh at the comical situation.

According to Guangzhou Daily, the incident happened at the Dongguan Railway Station in China's southern Guangdong province on Sunday (Feb 11).

Handbag contained a lot of cash

While the woman had willingly sent her large items of luggage through the machine, she was hesitant when it came to her handbag, as it contained a lot of cash, according to Shanghaiist .

Afraid that someone might somehow steal it as it passed through the scanner, she made the bizarre move to be with her handbag inside the machine during the screening.

After climbing out of the machine reassured that her valuables are intact, the woman then picked up her baggage like any other commuter and hurried off to catch the train.

Please don't climb into X-ray machines

Dongguan railway station officials would like to advise commuters not to climb into X-ray machines as radiation given off by the scanners could be harmful.
