Pulled chicken burger? Don't pull our leg leh, McDonald's.

Just last week on Jan. 4, McDonald's announced three new items on the menu: the Pulled Chicken Burger, Italian Herb Drumlets, and Apple Pie with Ice Cream.

 

The burger may look good, but that's regrettably as far as it goes — and if customers' complaints online have been anything to go by, it's looking to us to be Chapter 2 of McD's Cheesy Loaded Fries nightmare.

The fast food corporation's latest post advertising it, for instance, is flooded with negative comments about it.

Many even submitted photographic evidence of the unsatisfactory burger:

They don't appear to have learned their lesson

The main complaint here seems to be the lack of chicken — which is quite appalling, considering

  1. it's the central ingredient of the burger — it is, after all, called a pulled "chicken" burger; and
  2. the fact that they're marketing it as a premium item.

This is of course, compounded by the fact that they made the same mistake with their Cheesy Loaded Fries, which we would have hoped they learned their lesson from:

Being the disbelieving people we are, two of our colleagues also tried the pulled chicken burger on two separate occasions, and faced the same issue:

The only only saving grace, perhaps, is that Singaporeans aren't as hung up about pulled chicken burgers as they are about cheese fries.
