Way before gelatos and rolled ice creams were a thing, 7-Eleven Mr Softee was the best frozen treat one could ever have.
Especially the Chendol-flavoured ones.
However, the frills-free convenience store ice cream suddenly left in the late 2000s and never came back, despite the pleas of many Singaporeans.
On Jan. 10, a Facebook post by Muhammad Syawal showed a picture of a Mr Softee machine and a serving of the much-missed soft serve.
According to Syawal, he got his cup of vanilla Mr Softee from a 7-Eleven located near Unity Primary School.Apparently, a cup of Mr Softee ice cream costs as little as S$1.50.

Available at two outlets
However, it seems like the Mr Softee machines aren't available at all 7-Eleven outlets yet.
A comment left by one Hanafie Hallil shows a screenshot of a conversation between him and 7-Eleven Singapore's Facebook page.
It is currently available at two 7-Eleven outlets:
Blk 152A Gangsa Road, Singapore 671152
Blk 689B Choa Chu Kang Drive #01-306, Singapore 682689
We're not sure what flavours are offered, but we hope the Chendol one makes a comeback.
Mothership has reached out to 7-Eleven Singapore for comment.
