You've heard of lobster nasi lemak, so naturally, you should expect other varieties of localised lobster dishes to come along.
Like laksa, for example.
This hearty bowl of laksa can only be found in a Halal-certified eatery called Jenggood Jom Makan at Padi Emas Coffee House.
Dubbed the Lakster Deluxe (S$34.90), each serving is filled with prawns, squid, mussels and of course, one whole lobster.
The concoction of seafood is then laid atop a bed of udon noodles and then doused with the thick laksa gravy.
However, do note that the Lakster Deluxe is only available from Friday to Sunday and sells out fast.
Like really fast.
Wait, udon? With laksa?
You read it right. Udon laksa.
Instead of using the typical rice noodles Singaporeans are very accustomed to, Jenggood uses Japanese udon, which has a chewier texture than rice noodles.
And thankfully for those with a smaller budget, they also have the no-frills Laksudon (it's the combination of "laksa" and "udon", duh).
The Laksudon can be served without prawns (S$4) or with prawns (S$6).
For something a little more unique, there's also Lakso (S$5.50) --Â laksa served with Indonesian beef balls.

Other fusion delights
In case laksa isn't really your thing (why though?), there are other treats in store for you such as this Kari Udon (S$4), which is a bowl of udon served with curry chicken and potato.
Or if you're craving for something meatier, there is the Roti Kirai Bakso Chichap, roti kirai served with Indonesian beef balls dipped in dark soya sauce with bird's eye chilli.
