The Marina Bay area is expected to be super duper crowded on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, the last day of the year.
In preparation for the big day, the New Year’s Eve countdown festivities will start as early as Dec. 26.
In its 12th year, Marina Bay Singapore countdown spectacles have been confirmed:
From Dec. 26
The facade of The Fullerton Hotel will turn into a canvas for light projection displays, with half-hourly shows every night and New Year wishes collected from the public.
From Dec. 29
The Merlion and ArtScience Museum will have light projection shows featuring colors and patterns across their facades.
On Dec. 31
One-minute firework displays every hour on New Year’s Eve, starting at 8pm.
The final sequence to herald in 2018 will feature a six-minute midnight firework display.
A linear configuration of the fireworks this year will ensure it features across a larger area of the bay for the first time.
