Someone faked a seizure in China just to get a seat on a crowded train.
The only issue?
The faking of the seizure actually looked fake making the entire stunt questionable.
Fake seizure
In a video titled "How to get a seat on a train in China", a man is seen having an epileptic seizure on the floor of the train carriage.
Disturbed, most of the commuters sitting around him promptly got up and walked away.
As the commuters rushed to get away from him, the man casually got up and sat in one of the vacated seats.
He even crossed his legs afterwards and looked around nonchalantly, as if he didn't just cause the commotion that made most of his fellow commuters leave the carriage.

Lack of empathy from other commuters
Besides the usual scepticism about and outrage displayed in response to the extent that this man will go in order to get a seat on a crowded train, there is another underlying issue in full display in the video.
The supposed utter lack of empathy on the part of the other passengers in response to the man having a seizure.
Instead of rendering help in some way, the other passengers freaked out and left, which is pretty much as sad as the act of faking a seizure to get a seat.
China's by-stander problem
This incident might be an example of China's existing bystander problem, which is the problem of Chinese passers-by choosing to mind their own business, even when others are in danger and require help.
In 2011, a two-year-old toddler was hit twice by a van and once by a truck on in the middle of a busy market in Foshan. But passers-by around ignored her while she was lying on the ground in agony.
A woman finally stopped to help after seven minutes, but the toddler would eventually die from her injuries in hospital.
The by-stander problem has also been exacerbated by other factors it seems.
In 2013, after a woman brought an injured elderly woman to the hospital and paid the consultation fee for her, the elderly woman accused her of causing the injury and even sued her for it.
Nevertheless, there is also the occasional case of a Good Samaritan stepping in .
