If you're on the lookout for cheap Japanese food: there's a new Japanese restaurant at Sunshine Plaza that sells Bara Chirashi Don (sushi rice bowl topped with cubed sashimi) at S$10 nett.
The bowl consists of raw salmon, tuna, and octopus, plus a poached prawn. Portions look generous enough, judging by non-sponsored reviews on Instagram.Â
Besides the modestly priced Bara Chirashi Don and Kaisen Don (S$12), the place -- barely three weeks old -- also offers Sashimi (mostly S$6/ three pieces), Nigiri Sushi (mostly S$4/ two pieces), Donburi (S$10), and a la carte choices.
The Aburi Duck Teriyaki + Onsen Egg (S$10) is an example. Other variations include Salmon Mentaiyaki (S$10) and Grilled Eel (S$12).
