Goodbye.

The Old Woodlands Town Centre has over the past few months been progressively vacated.

Shops, tenants and residents have moved out of this border town located just before the border checkpoint to Johor Baru.

End-November, 2017, is the last week for anyone to pay a visit before the area gets sealed off.

The area will undergo development with the Woodlands North MRT station built to serve the area, christened "Singapore’s Northern Gateway".

Singapore-Johor Baru MRT

The Singapore-Johor Baru MRT service is set to operate by 2024.

The Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link is a cross-border rail linking Singapore and Johor Baru in Malaysia. It will bridge Johor’s Bukit Chagar terminus station and the Singapore terminus connected to the upcoming Woodlands North station on the Thomson East-Coast Line.

It is expected to ferry up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction along the 4km stretch, and will start operations on Dec 31, 2024.
