The recent spate of MRT breakdown, flooding and colliding woes has shown Singaporeans what can happen when a public service goes awry and everybody with and without private transportation is inconvenienced because the roads then become jammed with buses and private hire vehicles.

But it has inadvertently also brought out the creative best in Singaporeans.

MRT breakdown Monopoly board game

Adding a new spin to an age-old game, somebody going by the moniker "pyrrylanion" actually made a printable version of the Monopoly board game -- MRT breakdown version.

The goal of the game is to be the last person with money, as landing anywhere on the board will ensure players lose money at each turn.

It can accommodate between three to four players, with each player starting out with KBW$1,500.
