United States president Donald Trump addressed Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as "Prime Minister Loong" in a Facebook post referring to Lee’s official visit to the White House.

In a post on Oct. 23, at 7.16pm (Singapore time), President Trump posted his day’s schedule on Facebook, saying that he had a “working luncheon with Prime Minister Loong”.

Some comments in response to the post tried to correct the faux pas, while the rest of the replies were not related to what was posted:

The Facebook post was edited to reflect "Prime Minister Lee" some 12 hours later at about 7am (Singapore time) on Oct. 24.

PM Lee is on a working visit to the US from Oct. 22 to 26 and was at the White House on Oct. 23 at the invitation of Trump.

Previously, President Trump's Instagram misidentified PM Lee as Indonesian President Joko Widodo when they met at the 2017 G20 Hamburg summit in Germany in July.
