Ambulance rescues another one that had broken down in bizarre string of events at Bedok

It was quite a strange Friday night.

In the wee hours of Oct. 20, 2017, Facebook user Seah Guo Wei said he witnessed a bizarre string of events which he documented as part of his Instagram story.

A quick accident

First, he said there was an accident between an SBS bus and a car in Bedok Reservoir View.

According to Seah, the car made a 180° turn before coming to a halt.

But the absurdity doesn't end there.

Apparently, both vehicles drove off afterwards as if nothing happened.

Straight out of a Hong Kong drama

Just when you thought the story is done, an ambulance and a police car arrived at the scene, albeit a little too late it seems.

Ironically though, the ambulance became its own casualty -- it broke down, forcing the paramedics to push their own vehicle.

That is until another ambulance came to their rescue to transfer the equipment for about 20 minutes.

Of course, not wanting to belittle the efforts of the public servants carrying out their duty, Seah thanked the paramedics in his last Instagram story.

Response

The Facebook post garnered over 112,000 views and more than 2,500 shares.

Some comments confirmed that it's pretty much normal for drivers to go on with their lives after an accident:

"For public buses, their protocol for accidents is like that. If it's nothing too serious, the driver will just say that the bus has cameras all around and they will just exchange particulars and go."

"Ya... they drive off after taking pictures if nobody is injured. It's better than to block traffic."

Others didn't really see the humour in the Instagram story though:

"But you didn't have to mock about emergency services. If you know how it's run, if you know what time they received the call or if you know how many calls that ambulance has already went to, you wouldn't say such things."

"Don't like that la, cars will break down. They already doing their best to transfer the equipment, better than just sitting there and wait right?"

But most of them were just amused by the hilarious turn of events.

"Hahahahahahah what the hell, so many plot twists."

"Story spinning like the car."
