There is actually now a demarcated location on Google Maps called "Yistana"

Not sure if should laugh or feel worried.

We're not sure if we should be telling you this.

But we discovered last night that Google Maps has been informed of the location of our Singapore President's residence, and has named it "Yistana".

We couldn't believe it till we saw it for ourselves:

Yep, the address of her HDB block is listed there for all to see, even helpfully categorised as a "Government Office".

And as with all Google Map locations, there is also a street view version of the location:

Now in fairness, it's possible a random person added it to Maps. Google even details the process of "adding a missing location":

However, Google does say that it reviews edits made to Maps, "so your changes might take some time to be updated on the map".

Other people are also allowed to review edits made, so this might be removed soon enough for security purposes, but who knows.

Looks like the Police and her security detail have their work cut out for them.
