An eatery in Singapore is making the review rounds on social media after serving up an unwarranted spicy reply to a consumer query.

'This is Singapore not Saudi Arabia'

In a July 23, 2017, review, one potential customer wrote about a bad experience after making a query on behalf of a friend asking if the eatery Sunset Grill & Pub is Halal-certified.

Instead of receiving a straight yes or no reply, this was the response: That Singapore is not Saudi Arabia and the restaurant is "pork loving".

Negative reply widely shared

In response, the reply from the eatery has been widely slammed for being insensitive and unnecessarily sarcastic.

These are some of the reviews on Sunset Grill & Pub's Facebook page in retaliation:

Previously at Jalan Kayu

Sunset Grill & Pub was previously located at Jalan Kayu. And before that, it was inside Seletar Airbase.

The eatery is known for its spicy wings.

Based on information from the eatery's current Facebook page, it moved to its present location at Sembawng Road in March 2017 and the management has changed hands.
