Car ends up in water at Sentosa Cove

A white seven-seater car was seen floating in the water at Sentosa Cove along Ocean Drive on Aug. 25, 2017.

The Singapore police has issued a statement about the incident:

On 25 August 2017 at 2.08pm, the Police were informed of a traffic accident involving a car and a Sentosa ranger in Sentosa. The car subsequently ended up in the sea. The 36-year-old driver was rescued from the car and was conscious when conveyed to Singapore General Hospital. The Sentosa ranger suffered slight injuries and was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital. Police investigations are ongoing.

Passers-by could be heard sounding bewildered by the scene of the accident:

The Straits Times reported that an eyewitness said he saw two rangers on motorcycles pursuing the white car, believed to be a Toyota Alphard.
