He was wearing the same thing.

The man who was seen holding up a sign at Raffles Place calling for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's resignation was, in fact, arrested two days in a row for the exact same offence.

The 41-year-old Singaporean, Yan Jun, was first arrested on Monday afternoon, July 3, when he showed up for his afternoon protest.

Photos of his protest made the rounds online. The protest sign he was holding, read: "PM Lee: Resign over Terrex conspiracy!".

Out on bail, he then reappeared again at the same location on Tuesday, July 4, during lunch with the same sign.

He was arrested again for the same offence under the Public Order Act.

Today reported that Yan had multiple brushes with the law.

In 2016, he was charged under the Public Order Act for taking part in two demonstrations against the Singapore judiciary in March and April.

He had allegedly held placards then that read, “No judiciary corruption in the Supreme Court of Singapore” in English and “Protest against High Court of Singapore for miscarriage of justice” in Chinese at the Istana Park and along North Bridge Road.

Prior to these incidents, Yan had also brought a civil suit against the Attorney-General but was thrown out.

Here's a video of the protester's second arrest at Raffles Place:
