Police from Hougang NPC arrest man seen touching MRT passenger's thigh

The police received a tip-off.

The man who was caught on camera placing his hand on a female passenger's thigh on the MRT has been arrested.

The incident had allegedly taken place on July 1 on the MRT train travelling from Tuas Link MRT Station towards Pasir Ris.

The man, said to be 44 years old, was arrested on July 5 in the vicinity of Hougang Central.

This is according to a Facebook post by Hougang Neighbourhood Police Centre.

The officers from Hougang NPC combed the vicinity of Hougang Central after receiving a tip-off from the public earlier in the day.

They managed to locate and detain the male suspect on the same day. He is currently assisting in police investigations.
