Google is your friend.

In another case of "I see something on the Internet, it must be true"-itis, a Facebook message detailing the hoax of the month has been floating around cyberspace recently.

This is what it says.

Stall 124, Geylang Raya bazaar selling dog and cat meat satay. MOH official caught him in Geylang Raya. And found to be dog and cat meat marinated in satay.

Now straight up, this is absolute nonsense. The incident and arrest was predicated on some of the stalls hiring illegal workers.

The dog photo is completely out of left field.

Despite these facts being astoundingly easy to Google, some expressed anger at this turn of events.

The outrage from netizens most likely stemmed from the horrific picture of the badly mutilated dog.

But just because something evokes an emotional response from you, doesn't mean it is real.

Nonetheless, many people started spreading it around.

When someone called out one of the spreaders out on the fakeness of the news, here is how she responded.

Wow.
