The Designer Pad, Temasek Polytechnic School of Design’s canteen, is slated to close for renovation come May 31, 2017.
Other than the notorious ghost stories, its food is another (non-design-related) thing the School of Design is known for.
In fact, the students are so proud of it that its famous Teh Ping has even made it to the Orientation Camp cheer.
Here's the announcement of its impending closure:
If you're a current student or ex-student of the school, the next few days might be your last chance at relieving those fond memories.
Here are the iconic stalls the canteen is famous for.
Western food stall
The western stall is said to be one of the best in Temasek Polytechnic. Serving up big plates of chicken chop and fried fish, its dishes are topped with special homemade sauces like nacho cheese, herbed butter, and mustard mayonnaise.
Muslim food stall
Located at the corner of the canteen, the Muslim food stall is known to have queues that stretch to the tables in front. Perfect for poor students on a budget, its Nasi Padang amounts to just below S$3 for a plate of rice with three dishes.
Drinks stall
Perhaps as a way of providing creative juices to the design students, the drinks stall in the canteen sells unusual beverages that aren't commonly found anywhere else -- all invented by the owners themselves.
Ben 10: Milo + milk tea
Iron Man: Milo + milk coffee
R.I.P: Ribena in peach
Not Bad: Ribena + honey lemon
Besides those innovative drinks, the stall also sells homemade curry puffs that students love snacking on secretly in class.

Devastated Alumni
Naturally, both students and ex-students are crushed about the closure. Many of them have expressed their dismay in the comments section of the Facebook post.
However, rumour has it that the stalls might return after renovation is completed, but so far, nothing has been confirmed.
