Ever wondered what it's like to cheat death?

21 passengers on a bus in Nan-ning city, China do.

They had a near death experience in the afternoon of Mar. 24, when their bus stopped just in time to avoid falling into a giant sinkhole right in front of them.

The sinkhole, measuring three metres wide and about two metres deep, had appeared after the road surface collapsed suddenly.

Eyewitnesses had seen the bus travelling along the lane and avoiding the newly formed sinkhole at the time.

Fortunately, there were no casualties but some of the vehicle's windows were shattered due to the impact.

Construction works for an underground subway was going on beneath the road where the sinkhole had appeared, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
