It takes some form of bad luck to be this unlucky.
Photos and footage of a car being crushed by what seems to be construction material were uploaded on to Facebook page SG Road Vigilante on Feb. 21.
A lorry with a knuckle boom crane appeared to have attempted to load or unload goods, but parked cars took up the space between the lorry and the sidewalk.
A quick Google Maps search reveals that it is highly likely that the incident occurred at the car park near Block 720 Clementi West, where there is a Sheng Shiong outlet nearby.
While details about how the accident occurred are not known, the extent of the damage is clear: The hood of the Toyota car was completely crushed.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
In the video shared on the same post, the construction material, which could be some sort of concrete mix, can be seen to weigh about 40kg per each packet.
Possible reasons
Carrying heavy goods over cars is usually a big no-no as there's the possibility of endangering people and the vehicles.
Netizens, however, suggested that there's a possibility that the cars may have parked in the loading and unloading bay, forcing the driver of the lorry to have attempted the risky, and ultimately costly, move.
Nevertheless, the crushed Toyota car has since been sent off for servicing.
We can only imagine the look of horror on the face of the owner, seeing his car thoroughly smashed in.
