Valentine's Day is around the corner.
Everyone's favourite search engine Google has once again created a timely and periodic Google Doodle to mark this occasion.
This time, the commemorative interactive game features a pangolin, a cute animal that occasionally visits our universities.
If you're not already familiar with the animal, here is a quick introduction, courtesy of Google:
Pangolins are the world’s only scaly mammal. The eight species of pangolin that roam the wilds of Asia and Africa are strong swimmers who rely on their long tongues and heightened sense of smell to find nourishment.
Sadly however, pangolins are the most trafficked mammal in the world, and all 8 species face a significant threat from poachers and smugglers. Check out the World Wildlife Fund to learn more about the the pangolin’s plight and to support WWF’s efforts to save the pangolin and other endangered species.
The game has four levels, weaved together by the most adorable story of our protagonist pangolin, who is finally going to meet his long-distance sweetheart for real. Awww.
However, our poor clueless pangolin friend here realised that he might end up empty-handed for a date, so he seeks advice from all over the world.
The first level involves him getting inspired to collect cacao beans in Africa for a delicious chocolate cake, similar to the gameplay style of Sonic the Hedgehog.
(Don't worry, the spikes won't make you lose your beans!)
Our pangolin hero then travels to India and swims his way to learn a love song for his dearly beloved.
The latest installment also includes the protagonist travelling to China to learn the art of dance, collecting ribbons along the way.
Curious as to where the Pangolin will be heading to next? You can play the game on Google's homepage, or on mobile while baking that last-minute batch of cookies for your significant other.
Have a rolling good time.
