Office ladies' favourite fashion brand in Singapore has gone ultra premium.
This was after Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams was spotted carrying a S$39.90 prism-shaped bag from homegrown fashion label Charles & Keith to the red-carpet 2016 Emmys on Sunday -- while decked out in a custom-made embroidered Markus Lupfer gown and Louboutins.
According to The Telegraph, this was how they described her bag and the Charles & Keith label:
The actress was carrying a triangle-shaped evening bag with a chain strap and gold tassel attached to the zip by high street brand Charles & Keith. While most nominees will opt for a crystal-encrusted box clutch on the red carpet, Williams' vintage-inspired pouch was an affordable £39 from the little-known Singapore-based label. She wore the same style in gold over the weekend to a BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles.
The bag she bought cost £39 over there, which is approximately S$69.
Charles & Keith is a Singapore brand founded in 1996 by siblings Charles and Keith Wong. They produce shoes, but have since expanded into jewellery, handbags and accessories.
It is considered an "under-the-radar label in the UK", according to The Telegraph, but they make "expensive-looking, sleek handbags at an affordable price".
All of their bags are under the £100 mark in the UK, which include sleek bucket bags, mini top handle bags and circular bags.
In Singapore, they cost a fraction of those prices.
The prism bag, called an Evening Wristlet, is available for S$39.90 on the Charles & Keith website here.
And the best evidence that this product placement will soon go very far?
Williams actually liked the Charles & Keith bag so much, she even got it in two colours.
She was spotted carrying the same style in gold over the weekend to a BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles.
This is Charles & Keith's post on their bag:
For the uninitiated, Williams plays the character Arya Stark in the Game Of Thrones series where she is a tomboy.
Her highly made-up appearances at award shows are usually her only chance for fans to see her dressed up.
