Yishun Thug Life: 2 men playing with stun gun outside Northpoint arrested

Two men who were allegedly playing with a stun gun outside Northpoint shopping centre in Yishun were arrested by the police.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident occurred on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 10.30pm.

An eyewitness was reported to have said he saw police cars stop outside the McDonald's outlet at Yishun Ave 2.

The two men were playing with what looked like a stun gun on the steps outside Northpoint for 20 minutes.

As they were playing non-stop, their actions were believed to have scared members of the public and someone requested police assistance.

It was also reported that five police cars and 10 officers arrived at the scene to surround the two men.

No one was hurt.

Under the Corrosive And Explosive Substances And Offensive Weapons Act, anyone found guilty to be in possession or under his control any offensive weapon can be jailed up to 3 years and/ or be given at least six strokes of the cane.
