Two more people have allegedly made police reports with the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) against City Harvest Church members on July 29, 2016.

This is according to a blog post dated July 30, 2016, titled, "Police Report on Cheating Case – Part 2". The blog has been posting updates on the CHC trial.

If confirmed, this means four people in total have made reports with the CAD since July 11 this year.

In response to queries by Mothership.sg, the police said: "As police investigations are confidential, it is inappropriate for police to comment."

Police confirmed blog's earlier claim that CHC ex-leader made report

According to the blog's previous post, former City Harvest Church (CHC) leader Chew Eng Han, together with another unnamed individual, filed a police report at the CAD on July 11 against CHC founders Kong Hee and Sun Ho as well as six other members, including executive pastor Aries Zulkarnian.

Chew was convicted last year along with five other church leaders for misappropriating S$50 million of church funds.

The Singapore police then confirmed that a report has been made by Chew in response to media queries.

Chew said he lodged the report for "fraudulent misrepresentation of vital facts about the church which induced me and other members to give our donations", and also for use of funds for purposes other than what was represented to the members of the church, he alleged.

He also said: "I am only one of many victims of misrepresentation. The focus is not on myself but on what Kong, Sun and (their) team has done to the members, many of whom have left the place.”

All six current and former church leaders who have been convicted have appealed against their sentences.

The next hearing for their appeal will run from Sept. 15 to 16 and Sept. 19 to 21.
