Fresh police reports have allegedly been lodged against Kong Hee and Sun Ho, husband-and-wife duo and co-founders of City Harvest Church.

This is according to a blog post dated July 11, 2016, titled, "Police Report on Cheating Case". The blog has been posting updates on the CHC trial.

In the post, it is written that the police report was lodged by Chew Eng Han, who was one of the six CHC leaders previously on trial.

Chew has been sentenced to six years’ jail for his role in a conspiracy with intent to cause wrongful loss to CHC and to defraud auditors.

He had lodged a report with the Commercial Affairs Department on July 11 against eight people altogether from CHC.

Another anonymous individual is also alleged to have made a similar report as Chew.

The eight individuals cited are all from CHC. We will not be naming all of them in this article as we cannot confirm if the list of names provided in the blog post is accurate.

Here is a snippet of what the blog post wrote:

How many people have the boldness and courage like Mr. Chew Eng Han to come against a mega church?

I have confirmed with Mr. Chew that he has lodged a police report with the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) on 11th July 2016 against 8 people for conspiracy to cheat and for misuse of church funds from City Harvest Church (“CHC”).

There is another ex-CHC member who want to remain as anonymous also lodged a police report on the same day.

The Singapore police have confirmed that a report has been made by Chew in response to Mothership.sg queries:

Police confirm that a police report was lodged. As police investigations are confidential, and the complainant Mr Chew also has an appeal against his conviction and sentence pending adjudication by the Supreme Court, it is inappropriate at this juncture for the Police to comment further.

All six current and former church leaders who have been convicted have appealed against their sentences.

The next hearing for their appeal will run from Sept. 15 to 16 and Sept. 19 to 21.
