Tower Transit double-decker bus crashes into shelter opposite VivoCity

No one was injured.

A Tower Transit double-decker bus service 97 crashed into the roof of a sheltered pickup point opposite VivoCity on Monday morning, July 31.

The accident occurred at about 7.20am along Telok Blangah Road.

According to Channel News Asia, passengers alighted from the bus and informed the driver of the damage at the upper deck after the collision.

The driver was reportedly seen blaming himself for the accident.

The bus stop is located 50 metres after the pickup point.

Not the first time

In May this year, a similar incident occurred.

A Go-Ahead double-decker bus crashed into the pick up point shelter near the bus stop outside Yishun MRT station.

No injuries were reported.
