Pritam Singh, Sylvia Lim, Png Eng Huat, Chen Show Mao and Leon Perera will be directing questions to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, while Daniel Goh will be asking Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, questions relating to the issue of Deeds of Gifts.

Here is a summary of the questions WP MPs will be asking:

Pritam Singh: The possibility of convening a Special Select Committee of Parliament to be broadcast live to look into allegations of abuse of power by the Prime Minister made by members of his family?

Sylvia Lim: What conflicts or potential conflicts of interest did the government identify to exist from among the members of the Cabinet and with regard to the Attorney-General?

Png Eng Huat: What rules are in place to prevent the abuse of power and the influence of ministers on the civil service?

Chen Show Mao: What measures are there to stop the use of state organs for purposes to advance personal interests or punish opponents and when should a minister go to court to protect one's reputation?

Leon Perera: What other ministerial committees exist that has not been made public?

Daniel Goh: If the Deed of Gift of items from 38 Oxley Road was protected by a confidentiality clause, and if so, why did the Board release the Deed to the Prime Minister?

Lifting of PAP Party Whip

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has instructed that the Party Whip be lifted for the July 3 Parliament sitting as he will be making a Ministerial Statement to refute any allegations relating to the ongoing Lee family tussle.

This is to urge all PAP MPs to vigorously question him and his Cabinet ministers to restore confidence in the government.

The PAP MPs are expected to also ask similar hard questions to clear the air regarding the ongoing Lee family tussle.
