Primary One Registration Exercise for admission in 2018 starts on Jun. 29

Brace yourself for an influx of parent volunteers.

This year's Primary 1 Registration Exercise for admission to primary school on January 2018 will be open from Jun. 29 to Aug. 28.

All children born on and between Jan. 2, 2011, and Jan. 1, 2012 will have to register in the exercise.

 

Where and when? 

 

All primary schools will be open for registration from Monday to Friday, 8am to 11am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm during the registration period.

Online registration is also possible for the two 2C phases via the Primary One Internet System (P1-IS), which requires the use of SingPass. More details on online registration can be found here.

Phases

Like previous exercises, there are different phases of registration.

Phase 1 - Jun. 29 - 30

For children who have siblings in their school of choice.

Phase 2 2A (2) - Jul. 5, results by Jul. 7

For a child whose

a) parent is part of the alumni association not later than June 30.

b) parent is part of the School Advisory or Management Committee.

Phase  2A(2) - Jul. 11 - 12, results by Jul. 14

For a child whose

a) sibling or parent had studied in the school of choice, or

b) Parent is a staff member of the school.

Phase 2B - Jul. 17 - 18, results by Jul. 21

For a child whose

a) Parent has joined as a parent volunteer not later than Jul. 1, with at least 40 hours of service by Jun. 30.

b) Parent is a member endorsed by church or clan connected with the primary school.

c) Parent is endorsed as an active community leader.

Phase 2C - Jul. 26 - 28 (online registration Jul. 25 - Jul. 27), results by Aug. 2

For children who are eligible but not yet registered in a primary school.

Phase 2C supplementary - Aug. 15 - 16 (online registration Aug. 13 - Aug. 15) results by Aug. 21

For children who are not yet registered in primary school after 2C.

Phase 3, results by Nov. 30

For children who are neither a Singapore Citizen nor a Singapore Permanent Resident.
