During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims go through a period of daily fasting - the highest order of religious observance. This year Ramadan begins on Friday, May 26 and ends on Saturday, June 24.
For the uninitiated, special prayers called Terawih are performed by Muslims only during Ramadan. While it is possible to carry them out individually, it is encouraged to be done in a mosque congregation.
Terawhere (yes, a play on the word Terawih), an app developed by 15 youths from the Malay/Muslim community, seeks to make going for Terawih prayers a little bit more convenient, by helping Muslims hitch a ride with others to a nearby mosque in time.
And yes, this is 100% free, fueled by the goodwill of drivers who volunteer to drive, saving riders money from taking public transport or getting a private-hire ride.
Curious? Here's how it works.
First, you open up the app and find nearby rides offered by volunteer drivers. You can check the details of which mosque the driver is planning to head to.
Tap on the option you prefer and indicate how many passengers are coming along. The maxium is two per user.
Once you've confirmed, meet-up with the driver within 5 minutes of the designated time and head to your destination together.
Drivers can also volunteer to give rides via the app, by publishing details such as the pickup point, number of seats and the Terawih destination.
You can check out more details on their website and their official Facebook page.
