Blogger Han Hui Hui has issued an apology and removed five online posts and one video in which she alleged judges had lied to politically persecute her.

The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) wrote to her on March 13, informing her that the video and online posts were in contempt of court. (Full details of the posts available at AGC website.)

It gave her seven days to take down the posts and apologise for her allegations on all her social media accounts.

On March 21, the AGC said in a statement had she has taken down the posts, apologised on her social media accounts and stated that she will not repeat the allegation.

AGC said: "Her statements were scurrilous, false and made without any rational basis."

Han had amended the posts in question to omit the offending portions by Monday.

Posts that were in contempt of court

Between Jan. 21 and Feb. 25, the 25-year-old had made five Facebook postings and posted a video on YouTube about her brush with the law.

This was after she was fined S$3,100 in June 2016 for co-organising a protest rally in 2014 that disrupted a charity event in Hong Lim Park and organising a demonstration without approval

In February 2017, the High Court rejected her appeal against the ruling.

But prior to that, in a Jan. 22 post, Han had written that the court's ruling was "a blatant case of political persecution".

The fine that was imposed on her, she said, had "the sole intention of political persecution to disqualify me from standing for parliamentary election".

Han stood in Radin Mas in the 2015 general election. However, she lost and forfeited her S$14,500 election deposit after receiving 10.04 percent of votes cast.

Anyone convicted of an offence and fined S$2,000 or more is disqualified from being an election candidate.

Han put up another post after receiving AGC's letter

A day after receiving those instructions from AGC, Han published a lengthy blog post -- Alone In Cell -- giving her account of her court proceedings as well as her incarceration.

She alleged that she was strip-searched, a privacy screen was not used and the search was “done in front of about ten female officers with male officers passing by at the gate.”

She also alleged that inmates were not given toilet paper and that her lunch was cold and had chilli poured all over it.

Han also claimed that she was escorted by “10 police officers at the high court basement and an additional 50 police officers at the state court basement”.

Han’s blog post concluded by asking Singaporeans to transfer money to her POSB account to help pay for her S$3,100 fine for causing a public nuisance.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) responded to Han’s allegations saying they were “baseless and false.”

Following MHA’s statement, Han then made multiple Facebook posts challenging the authorities to release CCTV footage of her during the events leading up to and during her lock-up.

The Facebook posts also included graphics proclaiming "Character assassination by Singapore government controlled mainstream media."
