An educational equivalent of a mic drop. #preach

The Straits Times ran a story on Monday saying that 5,000 teachers have left the service over the past five years.

In its report, it said many leave because of the stress, long hours, and multiple administration tasks that are assigned to them, on top of teaching.

When ST shared the article on Facebook, most spoke supportively of the challenges facing our educators.

Except Facebook user Eric Wong:

Now, teacher-sympathisers weren't going to take this lying down. Here's a sampling of their responses:

But none of their replies matched this epic one from a user named Sivaroobini Kalaimani:

Mic drop.

Oh yes, here's the TL;DR in case you need it: Sivaroobini pretty much gave Wong a lecture exposing his ignorance, and the amount of toil and labour that goes into the teaching profession. All that, and there's still the small matter of one's personal life.

Guess we can say Eric was proven Wong.
