Certis CISCO demands opportunistic local hook-up app to 'kindly remove' their staff's photo

No response from Paktor yet.

Update: Paktor has taken down the post but did not apologise. It urged their fans to "keep swiping and go Paktor".

The request from Certis CISCO is clear and unambiguous.

Remove the photo. Please.

This was after local hook-up app Paktor capitalised on Changi Airport CISCO officer Lee Minwei's good looks to gain more likes for its services.

It urged its Facebook fans to achieve 100 shares, so that Paktor will try to get Lee on the app.

Incredibly, Paktor admitted to Marketing Interactive that it "did not reach out to Changi Airport to seek permission for the use of the image".

And the best part of the story?

Darryl Liew, the regional brand marketing VP at Paktor, told Marketing Interactive that Paktor would reach out to Lee only if the Facebook reactions to Lee's photo are good enough.

“However, we were unsure if our Paktor female users would be interested in such a user profile so we decided to ‘test water’ with a Facebook post to gauge reactions. If response is good, we’ll reach out to him and invite him to get on board Paktor with a sponsored user account".

Let us hold on for a minute and get the facts right.

Paktor used a photo without permission for commercial gains and will only contact Lee for a free user account (Yay!) if he has received enough attention harassment over his single status.

Paktor has yet to respond to CISCO's request.
