A man in Singapore with two children in tow was frustrated to see commuters ignoring the priority queue sign and swarming around the lift at Caldecott MRT to get on it first.
Crowding around lift's door
The man, Pavel Semenov (@paaladin), filmed his experience and uploaded the video onto TikTok.
Pavel, who is from Russia and frequently shares and comments on his encounters on TikTok, runs a YouTube and Telegram channel aiming to show the hidden side of Singapore that tourists do not see.

What video showed
He was at the Caldecott MRT platform with his two children, who were seated in a stroller, and waiting for the passenger lift.
In front of him, more than 10 people were crowding around the door to the lift.
More people were waiting behind and two women each had carry-on luggage with them.
None of the commuters looked at Pavel and his children or offered them an opportunity to move to the front of the queue so that they can board the lift first.
Paid no attention to him
Two commuters disembarked when the lift arrived before the crowd of people moved into the lift.
Even then, not all made it into the lift.
Those who were stranded remained standing close to the lift door: A woman in a blue dress and a man in a black t-shirt stood in front of the door for the next lift to arrive.
The woman in the blue dress appeared to notice Pavel, who had advanced closer to the lift door with his stroller and his two children, before shifting slightly away from the door.
However, the rest of the commuters appeared to pay no attention to Pavel, who remained standing behind the rest.

In the TikTok video, Pavel circled and emphasised the signage at the top of the passenger lift.
The signage showed "priority queue" and indicated that needy commuters, such as the elderly, pregnant and those travelling with strollers, should be allowed to board the lift first.
There is also another priority queue sign on the right-hand side of the lift's door, near the lift button.
He also tagged Give-Way Glenda, one of the five characters in the Land Transport Authority's Gracious Commuting initiative.
The initiative, which was launched in 2014, aims to remind commuters to be more considerate when travelling via public transport.
Mostly apologetic
In response to the TikTok, some commenters commiserated and were empathetic, saying that they have witnessed similar situations.
This led a handful of individuals to issue an apology on behalf of their fellow countrymen.
However, others were quick to shift the blame, suggesting that the commuters seen crowding around the lift were foreigners.
A handful even explained by saying the incident occurred at Woodlands MRT, where Woodlands Checkpoint is located.
However, based on the signage next to the lift in Pavel's TikTok, the MRT station was located on the Thomson-East Coast Line and the Circle Line.
Hence, the incident most likely took place at Caldecott MRT, which is the only station where both lines intersect.
Others said Pavel stood too far back, adding that he would definitely have been given priority if he had moved nearer to the lift.
Three individuals called Pavel "entitled", the first of which blamed him for having children and told him to "grow up and deal with it".
The two other individuals said Pavel could have simply waited in line, with one implying that he came from a country with no lifts and the other suggesting that Pavel should just opt for other transport options if he was unhappy.
Then there's also this guy:
