A man, who drives a BMW, was seen on video scolding a security guard in a condominium in Sin Ming after his car was wheel clamped for allegedly parking improperly in the compound.

The resident's actions have been panned by the public, as it was reported that he had hurled personal insults at the security guard in Mandarin, and the alleged verbal abuse elicited a response from the Union of Security Employees (USE).

At one point, the male resident asked the security officer, "Do you know how many units I have here?"

Subsequently, when the security guard could not answer, the male resident responded: "I have more than two units here!"

As it was raining at that time, the security guard asked the male resident to go to a sheltered place to talk, but the male resident said: "Since you all like to make life difficult for others so much, just fall sick. You are all poor, so just die."

When the April 3 incident was reported by Shin Min Daily News initially, the video of the resident berating the security guard was not available.

However, a two-and-a-half minute clip has since been put up online showing the verbal altercation.

Content of clip

The clip comprised a grainy first video shot by another person from a distance showing the resident supposedly shouting at the security guard, as well as truncated and edited clips from the video shot by the male resident who had filmed the other party.

It was reported that the video shot by the man who berated the security officer was initially uploaded to the condominium residents' group chat, and a female resident then forwarded the video to Shin Min -- as it was understood that other residents disapproved of the behaviour of their fellow resident.

The clips showed that the male resident was accompanied by a woman, and it was raining at that time on a Monday afternoon.
