A boy allegedly entered a private bus belonging to operator A&S Transit and took it for a joyride for about five hours in the morning, covering a distance of about 100km across Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris, and Punggol.

Photos of the alleged busjacking were put up on Instagram and sent to Mothership by a reader.

In one of the photos, the boy's bus ride ended after he was seen with police officers surrounding him.

An Instagram Story alleged that the boy had damaged the exterior of the bus and eventually abandoned the vehicle.

An Instagram post by the same account also mentioned that the boy used about a quarter tank of diesel.

It appeared that the boy had tried his luck at starting buses, as he allegedly trespassed another bus belonging to A&S Transit earlier in the night.
