Do you love money? And walking around? Are you quite free?

The fourth iteration of the Hunt The Mouse game is back in 2023 after a three-year hiatus.

S$100,000 cash to be won

For this round, S$100,000 is up for grabs with one S$50,000 gold coin and 100 S$500 silver coins hidden islandwide in various spots.

Players are recommended to follow the hints on Sqkii’s social media -- Facebook, Instagram, Telegram -- and the real-time map on the game website to locate these coins and exchange them for cash.

The first clues were out on March 9, just after 10am.

The event is scheduled to last one month — until April 8.

Multiple S$500 silver coins found

According to Sqkii's press release, this year's game will be the easiest one yet.

A check on the Sqkii map after the first 24 hours of the hunt revealed that multiple silver coins have already been found.

Hints for the gold coin will be posted daily on social media, while circles on the in-game map, which indicate possible silver coin locations, will shrink every half an hour.

The real-time map will also eliminate improbable gold coin locations at 10am, 2pm, and 6pm daily.

Background

According to Sqkii, the cash hunt has attracted more than half a million players over the 2017 to 2019 iterations.

Coins are hidden in public areas accessible to everyone.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event took a hiatus in 2020, and pivoted to a hybrid model comprising both online and offline mechanics in 2021.

In previous iterations, the biggest prize for one coin was S$100,000.

The winners who found the S$100,000 gold coin in 2019 also found the S$100,000 gold coin in 2022.
