Back in 2022, Singaporeans were moved by the story of an elderly man with stage four cancer, who set up an 88 Katong Laksa hawker stall for his wife to support herself after his death.
Today, his stall has once again become an emblem of human compassion.
According to a Facebook post on the page "Hawkers United — Dabao 2020", the stall owner announced that a kind customer offered to sponsor 40 bowls of laksa for senior citizens.
Between 2pm to 5pm today (Mar. 17), all seniors are invited to patronise the stall located in Circuit Road Hawker Centre for a free meal.
The giveaway is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so people should head down early to not miss out.
The Good Samaritan chose to remain anonymous.
