[Update on Mar. 29, 8:36pm] DBS announced that their digital services have returned to normal as of 5:45pm.

DBS Bank is extending its banking services at all DBS and POSB branches, as well as its Treasures Centres, by two hours on Mar. 29 to offer assistance to customers who are affected by the disruption in its digital banking services.

This update was provided by the bank via a Facebook post addressing the situation.

In the post, the bank also said it deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to its customers, but access to its digital services is still unavailable.

Nevertheless, DBS reassured its customers that their deposits and monies are safe and secure, and they can continue using their DBS/ POSB cards for transactions.

The opening hours of the branches and the Treasures Centres can be found here.

Background

Many DBS Bank customers were unable to use their online banking services, including the DBS PayLah! and DBS digibank apps on Wednesday morning.

According to the apps, the bank was "experiencing heavy traffic" to its services and users were advised to log in later.

When Mothership tried to log into the DBS PayLah! app and DBS digibank app around 5:15pm, the same messages were still displayed on the screen.
