The police have arrested three men, aged 16, 18, and 22, and two women, aged 19 and 23, for their alleged involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means with common intention, and suspected drug-related offences.
Woman found with lacerations in hotel room, arrested
The Singapore Police Force said in a Mar. 29 news release that officers received information of a case of assault along Jalan Kubor at 11:52am on Mar. 27.
They discovered blood stains in a hotel room when they arrived at the scene and found a 19-year-old woman with lacerations.
She was conveyed conscious to the hospital and subsequently arrested for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means with common intention and suspected drug-related offences.
Four others identified and arrested
Officers from Central Police Division established the identities of the persons involved through ground enquiries and the aid of images from police and CCTV cameras.
Three men and one other woman were arrested within 24 hours of the report, after a manhunt.
A 23-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man will be charged in court on Mar. 29, while a 22-year-old man will be charged in court on Mar. 30.
All of them will be charged with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means with common intention.
If convicted of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means, offenders can face up to seven years jail, a fine or caning, or any combination of the punishments.
