Seah Im Food Centre will reopen on Mar. 13, 2023.
Cleaner and breezier
Singapore Land Authority (SLA) announced this piece of good news on Feb. 28, 2023.
The food centre was closed since September 2022 for six months of upgrading works.
SLA said 38 cooked food and drink stalls and six non-food stalls will be making a return to the food centre.
Patrons can look forward to a brand-new "cleaner and breezier" dining environment as each of these stalls has been fitted with a new exhaust hood to better remove airborne grease, smoke and heat.
There will also be new tables and stools, new toilets, an upgraded ventilation system and the installation of new fans.
Bidding for empty stalls opens in April 2023
However, six cooked food stalls and 10 non-food stalls remain vacant.
Bidding for these stalls will progressively be launched in April 2023 and interested parties can look out for available units on SLA’s leasing portal.
