Calling Singapore actor Lawrence Wong a man of dedication would be an understatement.

When filming for his latest drama, "Summer Wind", he braved getting drenched in the freezing cold despite having a high fever.

Filming took place in Chongqing, China, in winter.

Speaking to Mothership, Wong explained:

"[My temperature] was around 39 degrees [Celcius]. But the cold weather, lack of sleep, and the thought of going out into the rain made me feel like the fever was higher."

His quick fix was to cling wrap his entire body.

"It's kinda effective I guess, because the cold water doesn't touch your skin." he quipped. "But it's also suffocating [and you feel like you can't breathe]."

Tries not to fall sick during filming

With hectic filming schedules involving the entire crew, Wong shared that he tries is best not to fall sick at all by "conditioning [himself] to hold it in throughout the entire filming period no matter how exhausted [he is]".

He tries to keep in the pink of health by loading up on vitamin C, along with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) supplements.

It's usually when production wraps when they "get it really bad".

"Summer Wind" is now streaming on meWATCH.
