Since the arrest of Chinese-Canadian celebrity, Kris Wu, due to rape allegations on Aug 1, Chinese social media platform Weibo has removed accounts belonging to him, his representative company, and fanclubs.

Chinese music streaming platforms such as QQ Music have also removed his profile and music.

The allegations first came to light on July 8 when a woman named Du Meizhu came forward in an exposé, claiming that Wu preyed on and raped underaged girls, including herself.

Many major brands that were working with Wu, such as Louis Vuitton and Porsche, have also cut ties with him since.

Social media accounts removed

The Weibo pages of Wu and Kris Wu Studio have been removed after being reported for violating the law and Weibo's community guidelines.

Weibo pages of his fanclubs such as KrisBar have also been removed under the same reasons.

Wu's Douyin (Chinese TikTok) account was reportedly still live and amassing followers on July 24 in the midst of the scandal.

However, it appears to be taken down at the time of writing.

A search for Wu's account on Douyin shows that the account no longer exists.
