If you've been to Singapore Sports Hub in recent nights, you might have noticed that the place looks a little different.

That's because Lee Wei Lieh, the man behind art collective Very Small Exhibition, is having a temporary exhibition on the premises, in collaboration with the organisation.

Artist stopped by security

Speaking to Mothership, Lee told us that the collaboration ironically happened after he was stopped by security when he tried to execute a light art exhibition at the Sports Hub.

"I put up a Facebook post about my failed attempt - and to my surprise, Singapore Sports Hub actually reached out to me to see if I would be interested in getting official approval to complete the piece. I said yes because I saw it as an opportunity to realise my artistic vision."

Only till night of Aug. 9

The light art installations are part of an ongoing series called "Very Momentary Exhibition," which aims to celebrate ordinary public spaces in Singapore by transforming the existing lighting in these spaces into a rainbow spectrum.

Typically, the installations only last for a few hours.

This time around, the installations at Sports Hub has been up since the night of Aug. 7 and will be removed on Aug. 9 after 11:59pm.
