The elderly man who went missing four days ago has died, and his body was found by the police in SingPost Centre.

The elderly man's daughter-in-law, Ah Joy, wrote on Facebook on Aug. 31 to inform the public about this development.

Informed by the police

The post at 7:16pm said her father-in-law, Soh Eng Thong, has been found, and had passed on.

She said that the police went to the house at Haig Road to inform the family.

In her post, Joy said she is unable to reveal more information, but the police is investigating the case.

She thanked everyone for their help over the past few days and said: "We appreciate that you give us some space as we grieve our loss."

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force said that they were alerted to an unnatural death at 10 Eunos Road 8 — the address of SingPost Centre — at 3:14pm on Aug. 31.

Soh was found lying motionless, and was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.

From their preliminary investigations, the police said that they do not suspect foul play.

Investigations are ongoing.
