Haidilao has opened its latest outlet at JCube.

New outlet in JCube

This will be the hotpot chain's 15th outlet in Singapore, according to its website.

Located on the second floor of the Jurong East mall, the new outlet stretches over six units.

This is possibly one of the biggest Haidilao outlets in Singapore.

Like most Haidilao outlets, customers can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks while waiting for a table.

New outlets in 2021

In 2021 alone, Haidilao has opened new outlets at Marina Bay Sands and Wisma Atria.

Another outlet will also open at City Square Mall soon.

The business has restaurants all over the world, such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, the U.S., South Korea, Japan, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

In March 2021, Haidilao International announced that they are expecting a 90 per cent decrease in profit from 2019, where they saw a profit of RMB2.347 billion (S$489 million).

These numbers are also preliminary estimates, they said.

Haidilao attributed this plunge in performance to two main reasons:

• Outbreak of Covid-19, and subsequent Covid-19 disease prevention restrictions imposed on the consumer industry
• The net foreign exchange loss due to fluctuations in the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the renminbi
