After nine months of being closed for upgrading works, Haw Par Villa reopened on Thursday (Jul. 1).

The park had originally only been planned to be closed until Mar. 31.

Restored sculptures

According to a Facebook post by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) on the same day, some of the upgrades include restored sculptures such as the main arch.

Unfortunately for those keen on checking out the new air-conditioned experience, though, the attraction is currently closed and will open as part of a new attraction called Hell's Museum in October, according to The Straits Times.

Haw Par Villa announced on Facebook on Jun. 25 that Hell's Museum will open on Oct. 28.

Enhanced lighting

In the meantime, visitors can also experience a new projection mapping at the main entrance, as well as enhanced lighting at night.
