Now, customers will have to wait for the online ordering platform to be launched before they can make orders, and Instagram DMs will no longer be accept as a mode of ordering.

In the meantime, you can check @thelimskitchen for more updates regarding the opening of their next booking.

How did it start

The Lim's Kitchen's sourdough starter was gifted to them in July 2019 by a chef friend, according to 8 Days.

They have been experimenting and refining thir bread-making process since.

The Sebastian bundle was inspired by crabmeat crostinis served at an Italian family-style restaurant in California.

A crostini is an Italian appetiser that consists of sliced toasted bread brushed with oil and served with various toppings.

Daniel had started baking during the circuit breaker and was gifting friends the sourdough he made, together with his homemade truffle butter.

Speaking to 8 Days, Daniel said that he been waking up between 3:30am to 4am every day to start the baking process, which includes cooling and packing the loaves by 9am, which is when customers arrive to pick up their orders.

Despite being an avid home cook herself, Rebecca said that Daniel leads the kitchen, and she would step in when the need for more hands arises, 8 Days added.

Instead, along with younger sister Melissa, she helps with managing the orders that previously poured in from Instagram, and even does the deliveries on occasion.
