It looks like a wild boar is officially on the loose in Sengkang.

A new video has emerged on June 22 of a lone wild boar running on the road in the direction of Sengkang General Hospital:

The video was shot by the driver of a car.

The voiceover in the video recording kept repeating, "Babi, babi, babi, babi".

"Babi" means "pig" in Malay.

The wild boar was seen running along the divider, away from Punggol West Flyover.

That flyover runs across the Tampines Expressway and connects the Sengkang and Punggol estates.

The other children's voices in the video could be heard cheering the wild boar on as it ran along Sengkang East Road.

As it ran away from the camera, traffic was initially at a standstill.

The wild boar was running towards the right in the direction of Sengkang General Hospital, but swerved left down the empty road in the direction of Sengkang Neighbourhood Police Centre.

This occurred when the right turn traffic light on Compassvale Street had turned green and vehicles on the road started to move again, forcing the wild boar to avoid oncoming traffic.

It is not known where the wild boar ran to.

Background

A wild boar crashed into the entrance of Sengkang MRT station on Saturday, June 20.

It was reported that the wild boar that crashed into Sengkang MRT station ran across the length of the station for about 300m and exited from the other side.

A wild boar was then seen running in the Compassvale housing estate in Sengkang.

This latest incident of the wild boar on the road, which is believed to have happened on Monday, June 22, would confirm that a wild boar is on the loose in Sengkang.
