Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced on June 23 that parliament had dissolved, and the General Election (GE) is here.

Following the announcement, the Workers' Party dropped a video teaser featuring a batch of 12 potential candidates.

However one notable absentee in the short 15-second clip was former WP chief Low Thia Khiang.

Low who had a bad fall earlier in April is currently recuperating at home after being hospitalised for around three weeks.

Low was described to be "in good spirits" in a Facebook post by Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin.

Tan took a selfie with Low after visiting him with durians and pears, after having kept in touch with Low since his fall.

Low and Tan also had a "nice long chat".

Earlier last week, WP's secretary-general Pritam Singh had visited Low on the first day of Phase 2.
